The Virtual Career Fair is your chance to learn more about participating employers, while simultaneously giving those employers the chance to learn a little more about you. When you join an employer's Virtual Career Fair group, you are indicating your interest in learning more about them. It's like stepping up to their table at an in-person job fair, taking a few brochures, and handing the employer your resume. With the Virtual Career Fair, instead of a resume, you give that employer the opportunity to view your HL Central profile, and to e-mail you directly with recruiting updates and/or invitations. You are also able to post comments and/or questions on the employer's blog. You should check back from time to time to view new blog postings and other updates. If you eventually decide that you are not interested in a particular employer, just remove yourself from that employer's group.
Participating employers check their Virtual Career Fair group membership regularly, and may provide student members with invitations and other news before making them generally available to all students. So if you think you might be interested in working for one of our participating employers, join their Virtual Career Fair group. It's a great way to reach out to potential employers.
